Raspberry Pi 2+ Raspbian Jessie

Download from website Raspbian full image of Raspbin Jessie Full ZIP or lite verison Lite Version ZIP.

Unzip downloaded zip file and install image with Win32DiskImager tutorial.

Next step is installation xbmc on Raspbian Add these lines to “” /etc/apt/sources.list “” :

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main contrib non-free
 
deb http://www.deb-multimedia.org/ jessie main non-free
deb-src http://www.deb-multimedia.org/ jessie main
deb http://www.deb-multimedia.org/ jessie-backports main
deb-src http://www.deb-multimedia.org/ jessie-backports main

Configure debian multimedia packages

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get install deb-multimedia-keyring

Then update system

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get update

Then install xbmc packages :

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get install python xorg xterm xbmc kodi-pvr-iptv*

To start XBMC from console :

root@openmediavault:~# xinit /usr/bin/xbmc --standalone

Before install OpenMediaVault remove nginx:

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get remove nginx*

And install nginx-full

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get install nginx-full

Than install OpenMediaVault :

root@openmediavault:~# echo "deb http://packages.openmediavault.org/public erasmus main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openmediavault.list
root@openmediavault:~# apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

Note: You will get a warning that the PGP Key can't be found. Thats fine.

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get install openmediavault-keyring postfix apt-transport-https

Note: You will get a warning that the package 'openmediavault-keyring' can't be authenticated. You're fine to ignore that warning and install it anyways.

root@openmediavault:~# apt-get update
root@openmediavault:~# apt-get install openmediavault
root@openmediavault:~# omv-initsystem
